Project Completed

 

During the Fall, Winter, and early Spring the program participants constructed two plugs (from Styrofoam and Bondo) which were used to construct two fiberglass molds (Hull and Deck), and then the molds were used to construct a complete racing sloop.

During the summers  of 2002 and 2003 hundreds of inner city

kids were treated to various field trips, ball games, and cook outs.

Many also enjoyed the routine sailing adventures supervised by

Mike and Patrick. Mike and Patrick are a father / son team who

operate one of the Bay Cruise vessels

 

 

 

 

 

 

Camp Davis in Charlestown Rhode Island is the

Providence Boys Club summer camp.

Sail USA provided six boats and instructors every day

all summer long at the Camp Davis Facility for four years

during the 1980's at no charge to the Boys Club.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Narragansett Bay Sailing Expeditions
